Coombe Trenchard's Disappearing Wall

Soon after moving to Coombe Trenchard in the winter of 2007, we found clues to suggest that one of the panelled walls in the main hallway had a fascinating design feature. The whole wall, together with a heavy carved oak door can be dropped into a brick lined void below the oak floor. Since making this discovery we have discovered that the design of this wall appears to be unique and we have yet to discover another similar. To read more about the discovery of the disappearing wall click here.....
